Getting to Bruny Island

Access to Bruny Island is by car ferry, a vehicular and passenger ferry that departs from Kettering, a 40-minute drive south of Hobart, or about one (1) hour from Hobart airport. Bruny Island Ferry services operate every day, all year round. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes, departs regularly throughout the day, and there is currently no requirement to book in advance. However, you should allow plenty of additional time during peak periods such as Christmas, New Year, Easter, and throughout the school holidays. The ferry ride lands on Bruny Island at Roberts Point.
